A major part of our remit is to ensure the welfare of Britain's pets by promoting responsible animal care. We have developed a range of services devoted to providing top advice and tips to keep your pet healthy and happy. The Blue Cross provides extensive pet care advice in the form of All About Pets leaflets. Advice is given on pets such as cats, dogs, gerbils, rabbits, guinea pigs and hamsters, as well as a wide range of information devoted to the ownership of horses. Free leaflets available online The quickest way to view these leaflets is on our All About Pets website. If you would prefer hard copies, you can pick up the leaflets from your nearest Blue Cross adoption centre or animal hospital, or download the All About Pets leaflets order form and return it to us at the FREEPOST address stated. Equine education Education is a key part of the work of the Blue Cross within the equine industry. With current education activities underway and many more to be developed for the future, the charity is hoping to improve equine welfare standards for the good of the horse. Educational speakers in schools We have a growing nationwide network of trained volunteers who speak to classes of children in primary schools and youth groups. To ensure we offer the best possible service, the education team works closely with schools and provides education resources, including a curriculum-linked programme for primary schools. Visit the Teacher's education area for further information and to download the resources. Take our Test your knowledge online quiz about responsible pet care. |
