Misty and Star Misty and Star are two gorgeous miniature Shetland ponies that were signed over to the Blue Cross in May 2000 when their owners were no longer able to care for them. They were rehomed on a monitored loan basis but were returned to our Northiam centre due to the borrowers change in circumstances. They were then transferred to our Rolleston centre to be placed on the Sponsor a Pony scheme. At first they seemed rather timid but now they have settled in very well and have turned into two very cheeky and adorable ponies, who get up to all sorts of mischief together. **Please note Misty and Star count as one pony together and are not sponsored separately** Bossie Bossie was signed over to the Blue Cross in January 2007 when her owners were no longer able to care for her. She is an Ardennes, one of the oldest breeds of Draft horse, which today are used mostly for heavy draft and farm work. As she is a rare breed and has such a lovely temperament we decided to keep her at the Rolleston equine centre and make her part of the SAP scheme.
