The process

Do you want to help pets in need of short-term foster care?
Would you be able to provide a cat or dog with a loving home until a permanent home is found?

To help us rehome even more pets we are looking to recruit volunteers to provide short term foster care for cats and dogs until suitable permanent  homes can be found.

Please call 01993 825537 or email fostering@bluecross.org.uk if you would like more information on becoming a volunteer on our foster scheme. Also, read our pet fostering leaflet.

Volunteer roles
We are looking for volunteers to be either foster scheme coordinators or foster carers. The coordinators will operate the scheme in their local area and the carers will provide daily animal care.

Foster cats will live in chalet accommodation, probably in garden, whilst dogs will live in a foster carer's home. All related costs are paid by The Blue Cross, including cat chalet accommodation, food, bedding, veterinary treatment and any behavioural advice.
