Listen to our podcast on the work of the mobile veterinary clinic.

In a vast city like London with only a handful of charity animal hospitals, some pet owners are unable to travel the distance or afford private veterinary treatment. Our clinics provide basic veterinary attention, vaccination, microchipping, and advice on animal care.

When and where

The clinic is fully equipped consulting room, running water, and all veterinary essentials. Since its launch, the clinic has proven to be a valuable service for the surrounding areas, especially for the elderly and people on benefits who cannot afford vets fees or have difficulty attending hospitals for routine treatment. The mobile clinic visits the following London boroughs:

  • Bethnal Green on Mondays
  • Hackney town hall on Wednesdays
  • Islington Green on Thursdays
  • Walthamstow Town Square on Fridays

Opening hours are the same every day: from 10.00am to 12.00pm and 1.30pm to 3.30pm. The clinic provides free treatment for straightforward problems such as rashes and ear conditions, but we do ask customers to leave a donation towards the cost of treatments like vaccinations, microchipping and flea and worm treatments.

The mobile clinic contains a lot of equipment to diagnose and treat animals. If the vet decides further tests or treatment are needed that cannot be carried out in the van, the owner is referred to The Blue Cross animal hospital in Victoria.
