Borneo jungle trek challenge

Join our fantastic jungle venture into the heart of Borneo

You will first explore the rainforest of Borneo, followed by an incredible opportunity to work alongside the park rangers of the Sukau region, monitoring the behaviour, feeding and nesting habits of the orang-utan.

This challenging five-day trek will take you through dense primary jungle, learning survival techniques and indigenous hunter-gatherer skills as you go. The highlight will undoubtedly be the three days spent assisting the Sukau research officers to gather data which will then be used in their reforestation projects, ensuring the environment is conducive to the survival of the orang-utan, whose habitat has been steadily eroded over the past few decades of logging.

There will also be a chance to visit the Sepilok orphanage and rehabilitation centre to see first hand the work being done to release various primates back into the wild.

This unique and challenging event will give you a very rare opportunity of seeing organ-utang in their natural environment and to see first hand the vital work being carried out to ensure their survival.
