Trek with the Maasai

On June 11 2010, a team of intrepid adventurers took on their challenge of a lifetime, trekking the African Great Rift Valley in Tanzania.

Over six days 22 ladies and two men walked and camped alongside the Maasai, in heat of over 40°c, each covering 135km from Longido, past the Sunken Crater, finishing in Engaruka.

Despite the many bruises and blisters all the team did extremely well and, as a result of their hard work, they raised £40,000 for the animals in our care.
