Charlie's Story

Charlie loved to climb trees. One day he was playing in the garden and climbed the big apple tree. He climbed higher and higher but then suddenly he slipped and fell to the ground with a bump.

Charlie’s leg really hurt and he was scared because it was bleeding. Charlie limped home.

Charlie’s owner was old and he didn’t have a car. He loved Charlie and wanted to help him so he telephoned The Blue Cross and told them what had happened.

The Blue Cross animal hospital sent out one of its animal ambulances to collect Charlie and his owner. They were taken to see a Blue Cross vet.

The vet cleaned up Charlie’s leg and put a bandage on to it. She also gave Charlie an injection so the leg healed quickly. Charlie’s leg felt much more comfortable and the ambulance took them home.

Charlie has now made a full recovery and he is once again climbing trees - carefully.
