Holly's Story

Holly loved to be ridden and really enjoyed going to horse shows with her owner.

Holly and her owner had often seen The Blue Cross Horse Ambulance at many of these shows. It was there just in case any horses or ponies accidentally hurt themselves.

Sadly Holly's owner became very ill and was no longer able to look after Holly. She became very worried about who would care for her horse.

Holly had been treated badly in her last home and was quite nervous of new people. Her owner wanted to make sure that Holly was well looked after. She remembered that The Blue Cross helped horses and ponies that were in need of new homes.

Holly's owner rang The Blue Cross and was very pleased when they said they would take her. Holly would be able to stay with The Blue Cross until a nice new home was found for her.

The Blue Cross found Holly a new home with Emma who had kept horses before. She took plenty of time getting to know Holly and now they go out riding whenever they can.
