Kim is a veterinary nurse. She has been trained to care for the animals in the hospital. The veterinary surgeon will tell the nurses what treatment has to be given.

The hospital keeps many different animal foods because animals may need to be fed special diets when they are ill.

tat_1Kim and Trudy prepare the medicines for the animals. Medicines may be given by injection or by mouth in a tablet, a liquid or a powder. It is very important that the correct dose is given.Blue Cross staff

Trudy puts Billy back in his cabin and makes sure he is comfortable.
