Take your dog to work day 2008
The countdown to this year's event on Wednesday 17 September is now on. This year we are encouraging people to teach their dogs what we call the Blue Cross 'petiquette' through some simple video clip commands.

Visit the Take your dog to work day website to view the clips, listen to the petcast and register for the event.

Have you seen our 'talking pet'?
The Blue Cross has launched a new talking pets campaign which, for the first time, allows your pet to talk back to you. The aim is to raise awareness of our online community for pet lovers, All About Pets.

New CEO to take the reins at The Blue Cross
The Blue Cross has appointed a new chief executive, Kim Hamilton. Ms Hamilton will take up the role on 1 September 2008, following the retirement of John Rutter after seven years at the helm.

Our current appeals
The Blue Cross receives no funding from the government, so we are reliant on the generosity of animal lovers to help fund rebuilding projects like those at our Thirsk and Southampton adoption centres.
