Recycle and raise money

black dog

The Blue Cross has teamed up with Reclaim-it, a leading electronic waste management company, to turn old mobile phones, laser toner and inkjet printer cartridges into valuable funds for The Blue Cross.

In the UK alone, over 15 million mobile phones are just left lying around in homes and 2 million printer cartridges are thrown away each year. Just think, every mobile phone that is left in a drawer unused is money wasted, and every printer cartridge thrown in the dustbin could have produced funds to help provide care to an animal in need.

By encouraging friends, family and work colleagues to support this scheme you will not only be helping The Blue Cross continue its vital work, you will also be helping the environment.

If you would like to raise funds for The Blue Cross - and reduce the amount of waste consigned to landfill sites - here's how:

1   If you have an unwanted mobile phone or inkjet printer cartridge at home, request a freepost  envelope so you forward them free of charge to Reclaim-it. Reclaim-it will then donate the value of these items to The Blue Cross.

2   If you work in a small office or shop, perhaps you could take one of our freepost envelope display boxes so colleagues or shoppers can pick up an envelope and help us by recycling their old mobile phones and empty inkjet cartridges.

3   If you work in a larger office that uses printer cartridges more often, one of our collection boxes would be a useful idea. Once it is full, simply call Reclaim-it who will arrange for its collection and the delivery of a new box.

To request any of the above, simply click on the highlighted links, fill in your details, and you will receive the items by return post.
