Ian Smith, who plays Harold Bishop in Neighbours, will be joining Northiams homeless animals at The Blue Cross equine and small animal adoption centre on Tuesday 20 December at 9am to ask for festive treats and donations to help the charitys work. Ian has kindly agreed to give autographs and encourage the local community to give treats, toys and any donations to help make Christmas happier for the homeless animals in The Blue Crosss care. Ian is currently starring in Aladdin at the White Rock Theatre in Hastings, and has made the time to help local needy animals have more to celebrate over the festive season. Centre manager Maria Marmo said: We are delighted to have Ian to help us at the this time of year when are resources are stretched to the limit. We would like to welcome people between 9 and 11 for a mince pie. Equine manager, Rosie Mogford said: We are very grateful to Ian for sparing the time, and hope people will join him in helping the animals at The Blue Cross this Christmas. Ian will be at the centre from 9 until 10am, and will be offering signed pictures for a suggested minimum donation of £1. Donations are gratefully received at the centre, with toys being in particular demand.
