Tiverton dog show and reunion

The Blue Cross animal adoption centre in Tiverton is holding its annual open day and reunion on Sunday 4 September at 11 am.

The centre will host a variety of fun for all the family including a BBQ, a raffle, children’s games, bric-a-brac stalls, games for the dogs and a fun dog show. The dog show will feature categories such as best rescue dog, prettiest bitch, handsomest male, waggiest tail, and many more. Entrants are encouraged to arrive with their dogs before the start of the show to choose their categories. There will also be an agility display, with staff on hand to teach new entrants, and rosettes awarded to each clear round.

Centre manager Damian Harrison said: ”This promises to be a great day out for everyone in the local community, and of course, all the dogs. The Blue Cross is always in need of funds and days like this help us raise extra cash for the centre. We look forward to seeing everyone and their dogs.”

Entrance fee is 50p for adults and free for children. The dog show costs 75p per class to enter, and the food, drink and craft stalls will be open all afternoon.
