National pet care comes to Fareham

All About Pets, the free pet care advice service from pet charity The Blue Cross, will be visiting Fareham on Saturday 22 July to help local people offer the best care to their pets.

The charity's mobile unit will be stationed at the Pets at Home store at 140 148 Southampton Road, Park Gate Retail Park from 10am to 5pm. Blue Cross staff will be on hand to talk to visitors about the benefits of adopting a rescue animal.

All About Pets was set up by The Blue Cross to dispel myths about pet care and promote responsible animal ownership through a comprehensive range of free information on looking after cats, dogs, horses and small animals.

The scheme was launched three years ago in response to a survey conducted by the charity that showed that most pet owners felt they needed access to independent pet care information.

The Blue Cross is Pets at Home's charity of the year and the retailer has raised more than £200,000 to help care for the animals in the charity's care. Animal lovers that would like to help can visit the store, pick up a leaflet and help Pets at Home continue to raise funds for animals in need.
