The Blue Cross Britain's pet charity

Christmas carol concert for charity's centenary

The Blue Cross, Britain’s pet charity, is holding a special Christmas carol concert this December to celebrate the centenary of the charity’s flagship animal hospital in Victoria, London, and to raise funds for the needy animals in its care.

The festivities, on Thursday 14 December at St Peter’s Church in Eaton Square, will kick off at 6.30pm with complimentary mince pies and wine. The concert will start at 7pm.  Actors Jenny Seagrove and Ian Hogg, along with Angela Rippon OBE, will be reading a selection of festive poems, amusing passages and short stories about Christmas.

The congregation will be entertained by the prestigious English Chamber Choir who will be accompanied by the trumpeters from the Household Cavalry and the impressive St Peter’s Church organ.

The Blue Cross animal hospital in Victoria first opened its doors to the sick and injured 100 years ago.  It is the oldest continually running charity animal hospital in the country and provides a valuable service for the pets of owners who cannot afford private vets' fees.

For more information or to obtain tickets for this special event, please call Craig Burchell on 020 7932 4071 or email craig.burchell@bluecross.org.uk. Tickets cost £15.
