The Blue Cross carol concert took place on December 12 and was a great success, raising in excess of £4,500 so far in ticket sales and from donations on the night.

The event took place at St Peter’s Church in Eaton Square, London and was attended by supporters and guest speakers including actress Pam Ferris, equestrian Lucinda Green and former 'Green Goddess' Diana Moran. They all read a selection of festive poems, amusing passages and short stories about Christmas.

The English Chamber Choir also attended and helped to make the evening a memorable one, raising vital funds for animals in Blue Cross care.

Pam Ferris said: "It was my great pleasure to read at the Blue Cross carol service this year. It was an honour and I hope I am asked to again. I'd be glad to help bring this wonderful organisation to the public notice in any way I can."
