Dogs with waggiest tails wanted

puppy-1

The Blue Cross has organised a fun dog show in conjunction with British Waterways on Sunday 1 June to help raise money towards the Thirsk adoption centre appeal.

Dogs with the waggiest tails or most appealing eyes are encouraged to come along and take part in the show, which takes place at Standledge in Huddersfield. There is also a chance to raise funds by completing a sponsored walk along the Huddersfield Narrow Canal.

Blue Cross education speakers and experts will be on hand to give talks at Standledge visitor centre. Thirsk adoption centre manager Jackie Haw says: "We would like to encourage everyone to come and join us on this fun day out, and if you have a dog, why not bring them along? All the money raised will help to fund the building work at Thirsk."
