New home for Tinkerbell

This cat feels like she’s been sprinkled with fairy dust after finding a loving new home.

Tinkerbell caught the eye of Nick Hillman, who is the Conservative candidate for Cambridge at the general election.

Nick visited our adoption centre in Cambridge and decided to adopt her. He says: “My wife and I have always wanted to provide a loving home to a cat but until recently we were in a tiny flat.

“So the first thing I did after moving was to find out about local rehoming centres. We picked the Blue Cross because they clearly put animal welfare first.

“We looked around all the pens and would have been happy with any of the cats. But, when we reached the final one, we fell in love. At first, Tinkerbell was hidden in her shelter but, within a couple of minutes, she was purring with pleasure in our arms.”
