Making a will

It is important to make arrangements for any pets you have that may outlive you. Whoever you choose to care for them, make sure they are ready and able to take on the responsibility.

If there is no-one you can ask, you may wish to approach The Blue Cross for help. We have a well established scheme called Pets into Care which deals with exactly this concern – follow this link for more information about the scheme.

This way you will have the reassurance of knowing your pet will be taken into our care immediately after your death, and that we will do our very best to find him or her a loving new home, however long it takes. Your legacy can help The Blue Cross to care for your pet after your death – but the scheme will look after your pet even if you don’t include us in your Will.
